The four male lead stars of a hit Korean telenovela, “Boys Over Flowers,” are coming to the Philippines.

Korean superstars Lee Min-Ho (Jun Pyo), Kim Hyun-Joong (Ji Hoo), Kim Bum (So Yi Jeong) and Kim Joon (Song Woo Bin), or popularly called “F4,” will visit the country, “The Buzz” host Kris Aquino announced Sunday.

There is no date yet as to when the stars will arrive in the Philippines but Aquino said it is going to be “soon.”

Based on the best-selling Japanese manga “Hana Yori Dango” by Yoko Kamio, the romantic story was first adapted in Taiwan as the phenomenal hit drama “Meteor Garden,” which aired on ABS-CBN in 2003. It starred Asia’s sensational boyband F4.

Meteor Garden” remains to be one of the most successful Asianovelas aired on Philippine television, with an average rating of 42.9 percent in mega Manila and a nationwide average rating of 62 percent.

South Korea’s “Boys Over Flowers,” meanwhile, garnered an average rating of 30 percent. The show had a great impact on Korean pop culture as sales of men’s cosmetics and fashion items skyrocketed and the female lead’s hairstyle ruled the fashion world.

The Korean remake of “F4″ also launched the careers of the four Asian superstars.

Aquino said the producers of the Korean show were grateful that, like Meteor Garden, it also became a hit in the Philippines.

Starting Monday, “Boys Over Flowers” will be aired at 6 p.m. before “TV Patrol World.” It takes over the timeslot of “Pinoy Bingo Night,” which will now be aired after “Tayong Dalawa.”

.02. PERSONAL NOTE: Djwiuwasnaihi! OMG~! I really don’t know what to say… :a46: I can’t believe they will visit the Philippines soon. :bd29: I’m pretty sure that all Filipino fans of Boys Over Flower will get hype with this. This is the bestest news from ABS-CBN. But the only thing that I could think of right now is… will the F4 Korean will spent their time here for several days or is it just for 1 day? or less than that? Aissh! I hope they will visit Wowowee, A.S.A.P, and the other TV Shows of ABS-CBN. Another thing is it would be great if they will have an autograph session, handshaking session, fanmeeting also besides an interview with Kris Aquino. WOOT! Okay, I’ll stop spazzing now~ I’ll definitely wait for the day of their arrival. HAHAHA!

Last night I have seen the news in SNN (Showbiz News Ngayon) about Sandara Park’s debut in Korea as part of “2NE1” girl group. They have stated that Sandara park who also known as “Sandy” when she was in the Philippines, she now have her new name as “DARA“. :a41:

I’m really glad that they’ve announced the debut of Sandara Park. So, I got it now, the local network waited for Dara’s debut before announcing it on televiewers in the Philippines. Some ppl, most especially Filipino Kpop Addicts blabbing about the network that they ((the network)) don’t even bother to get to know about Sandara’s debut in the Philippines. But then I’ve finally realize that they need to wait for the Dara’s debut before announcing it on public. Nice move, ne?!

Haizz, if only I could sub this video if there’s a HQ or .AVI version for this. But yeah, I can’t seem to find one, so don’t expect for english subs. Haha!

Go ABS-CBN! Go Kapamilya~! :wee:

SNN is a night live entertainment news program in the Philippines on ABS-CBN ((Largest Network in the Philippines)) premiered last February 16, 2009.

Just a quick random update:

:animhana3: I have seen the commercial of Boys Over Flower (K-Drama) in ABS-CBN ((Local Network in the Philippines)) this evening that it was gonna air on May 11, 2009 on Primetime Bida. WAAAA! Goosebumps! I’m really excited to see the tagalog dubbed version, eventhough I finished watching this drama already. I’m really glad that ABS-CBN didn’t changed their original names to english name. Basically, they used to changed the names of the characters to english name such as Sarah, Robert, Carlo, etc.. from the Asian Dramas. But hell yeah! they didn’t ! ~

Looking forward to see the result if this will become a big hit in the Philippines. But I’m really sure that Filipinos will support and watch the drama just like Meteor Garden (Taiwanese series) before.

:animhana3: I decided to upload bunch of Korean albums/singles later that I haven’t posted here, these includes previous albums and singles of my favorite Kpop artists. :a13: So yeah, watch for it!

:animhana3: Just finished watching 2 episodes of Family Outing (K-Variety Show) yesterday. Its Episode 42 and 43 were Kim Won Hee is the guest, the episode 43 really cracked me up!! Hyori Noona & Daesung-ie looks creepy when they dress up as high school students with make-ups on their face. I’m watching Episode 38 (Lee Bum Soo) right now ~ ^^

If you’ll ask me what’s ABS-CBN all about? Well, ABS-CBN is one of the largest local network here in the Philippines. The network got the rights to air the Boys Over Flower (Korean Drama) here in the Philippines. I srsly don’t even know when it has to be aired. :125: So, usually they invite the main casts of the drama to greet and encourage Filipinos ((the viewers)) to support and watch their drama to be aired in ABS-CBN. :a02:

This video totally cracked up especially when they mentioned the “ABS-CBN” part. Its like they hard to pronounce the word. :a11: LMAO.
